After you add the water, rock, and equipment, this stand must be able to support over 2,000 pounds of weight evenly across the entire surface of the aquarium so that the glass doesn’t crack.
Proportions Matter
The proportions of the stand had to work within the confines of a basement nook, while still complimenting the scale of the aquarium itself.
Don’t Distract
The most important requirement was that the stand be beautiful without distracting from the main show, which was the aquarium itself.
